In 2008, the State of Illinois had over 750 licensed Home Healthcare Agencies.  It is widely, though quietly, believed that upwards of 80% of these agencies are owned, managed, or controlled by our Filipino-Americans.  This is an amazing figure, and speaks volumes about the entrepreneurial talents and the boundless capacity for caring compassion of our community.
